Terms of Sale
Last updated 23 July 2026
Who you are buying from
Cycle It Ltd (Gibraltar) sells the City Hopper Pass as an independent ticket reseller. We are not the Gibraltar Bus Company, Citibus, or the Government of Gibraltar. Bus services are operated by the Gibraltar Bus Company and Citibus under the Ministry of Transport.
What you are buying
- A day pass for unlimited travel on all scheduled Gibraltar bus routes, operated by both bus companies, for the calendar day shown on the pass.
- Validity is the calendar day — not 24 hours from purchase. A pass bought in the evening expires that same night. If you are arriving late, buy the pass for the following day.
- Night routes run on Friday and Saturday nights only.
- Buses do not enter the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.
Prices
- In pounds: adult £11.00 · child under 12 £5.50.
- In euros: adult €16.50 · child under 12 €8.25. The currency offered follows your device's language and can be switched with the £/€ control; euro prices are fixed, not a daily conversion.
- Under-5s travel free and need no pass. There are no booking or order fees — the price shown is the price charged. Prices include any applicable taxes.
Cancellations and refunds
- Before your travel date begins: you may cancel for a full refund. Contact us via the contact form or admin@cycleit.gi with your pass code; refunds are returned to the card you paid with.
- Once the travel date has begun: passes are non-refundable.
- If scheduled bus services are suspended for the whole of your travel day (for example, a general service withdrawal), we will refund the pass in full.
Using the pass
- Show the pass QR — on the pass screen, your backup email, or a screenshot — to the driver of your first bus. The driver scans it once and exchanges it for printed day tickets covering the passengers on the pass.
- The QR is single-use: once exchanged it becomes void, and the time, date and validating device of the exchange are recorded. The printed tickets are then your travel documents for the rest of the day on all routes, both companies — keep them safe, as lost paper tickets cannot be reissued.
- The pass is non-transferable. Copying, altering or sharing a pass so that more people travel than were paid for is fare evasion; such passes fail validation.
Payment
Payment is taken by our PCI-certified payment provider at the moment of purchase; card details never touch our systems. The name of our merchant account appears on your card statement.
Service changes
Routes, stops and timetables belong to the bus operators and may change without notice. Journey-planning information on this site is provided in good faith from operator publications; the drivers' word prevails on the day. Assistance dogs are welcome on all services; other pets are not carried.
